However 50,000 IU's per day for a short time may be appropriate depending upon your Vitamin D Level. Please read my page on Prescription Vitamin D to see why you shouldn't be taking prescription Vitamin D at all!! I am happy, well adjusted, and have a wonderful, caring husband who goes out of his way to help me on bad days.Īlso, are there any other supplements that I should implement to speed up my D absorption process? (If that is possible?) I know what I am feeling is not psychological. I don't need medical advice, just a correct (maximum) daily Vitamin D3 dosage level. I do feel a bit better with with the daily 5,500 iu D3 I am currently taking and loading up with lots of sunshine, but I suffer when there are a few cloudy days. I suffer a great deal from muscle/joint/body pain and fatigue.I seem to be worse on cloudy/hazy days. The doctors didn't seem to know anything about it when I asked, and I am terrified of this dose even though I am no longer breast feeding. I didn't take the 50,000 iu prescribed then, because the pharmacist told me it would be toxic to the baby, as I was breast feeding. In 2008, I was at 26 and I still experienced symptoms. ![]() Would it be safe to take the 5,000 iu D3 gel cap daily and 2-calcium supplement tablets-totaling 6,000 iu D3 daily? The calcium supplement bottle states that 2-caplets can be taken daily containing (1000 iu vitamin D3, 80 mcg Vitamin K, 1500 mg Calcium.) Is this correct? I have come to this conclusion through my own research however, I can't get a straight answer from the pharmacist. I am under the impression that prescribed D-50,000iu manufactured by BARR is D2. I have been taking the 5,000iu daily, plus 1 calcium supplement tablet daily containing (500 iu-D3, 40 mcg Vitamin K, 750 Calcium.)I have been on this dose for three-weeks now. ![]()
